Welcome to our ‘Builder Gel for Natural Nails’ course, where we delve into the world of strong long-lasting, natural nail enhancements with builder gels applied from the bottle. Unlike gel polish, builder gel is a nail enhancement that offers clients durable and chip-resistant nails that can last up to three weeks. A builder gel manicure provides an attractive options for clients to grow out their natural nails.

Proper training in builder gel application is really important due to its specialised techniques and tools. Understanding the intricacies of gel application, including the precise layering, curing times, and proper removal methods, ensures not only great results but also safeguards the health of natural nails. Without adequate training, incorrect application or removal techniques can lead to weakened nails, allergic reactions, or damage to the nail bed.

course structure

The course takes place over 1 day, usually finishing mid afternoon.

At 9am learners meet at the salon and our first task is theory work - manuals will be sent to students prior to the course and they are expected to have read this.

The theory is a mixed bag of short presentations, quizzes, and open discussion about nail anatomy, client care and health and hygiene.

Mid morning we move onto a practical demonstration and students will be shown application techniques.

By the afternoon students will start with their practical activity and with guidance and support will perform a builder gel manicure on a model in a nude colour. After evaluation students will remove one hand of their choosing and reapply the other hand to match.

Students should provide the model themselves however if this is not possible a model may be acquired for you. After an open ended review and discussion students will be presented with their certificates!

Builder gel is not offered to students to purchase, the brand you will be taught with is INK London which only sell to professionals (people who are qualified). After your course you will be able to purchase from them directly.
